Wakesurfing has become the fastest
growing craze in the water sports
industry. Wakesurfing 101 teaches
the basic fundamentals including
the equipment you will need, how
to weight your boat, and step by
step instruction on your first
time getting up.
Surfing in the ocean has always
been a great hobby for water bugs.
Many movies were based around
surfing and catching the big
waves. Surfers would struggle to
paddle out and then wait for an
awesome wave to develop. Then, if
they hit the wave just right, they
might get a 30 second ride to the
shore. All of this just to paddle
out and wait again. Many surfers
became interested in Wakeboarding
when it’s popularity grew, but
still loved to get that awesome
surf wave. Inboard boats now have
water ballast systems that hold
water in tanks to weigh the boat
down creating monstrous wakes. The
bigger the wake, the more air for
a wakeboarder. Surfers saw these
wakes and started using them for
their sport. By adding weight to
the rear corner of the boat, it
creates a huge wake like you would
see in the ocean. But unlike the
ocean, this wake continues for as
long as the surfer can stay up.
Average speeds of 10-12 miles per
hour. Falls are almost slow
motion.
Wakesurfing is the essential tool
for beginners to learn the basics
in this really fun sport!
